  6. when i was a child we didn't have our tree up until christmas eve. santa brought our tree and decorated it and filled it with gifts. when i went to bed at night i made sure cookies and milk were left out so that when he finished his work at my house he could enjoy a moment until he headed out to the next persons house.

never saw our tree until i woke up christmas morning. so you still not having a tree is the normal in our home.

santa will bring it, if you've been good.

    merry christmas. ho ho ho!

    1. Well, the tree went up last night & decorated it today! 2 days before Christmas! we have never cut it so close! That would actually be a great surprise as a child to wake up and see the tree & gifts all at once! Merry Christmas!

    1. Thanks very much Debi! I am not sure what the reaction to my Christmas tree will be! It is the simplest tree we have ever had-and maybe not so warm & comfy looking this year but the change is good! Merry Christmas!

  8. It looks perfectly Christmas enough here. Love the rustic Nordic feel to your decor, and if nothing else in added to your Christmas decor tree included it would be fine as is. You have accomplished a "All is Calm" peacefulness to a Joyeux Noël .

  12. I am off to "shop" the basement & bring up an olde dresser to use for my coffee/hot cocoa centre. That will free up some counter space. DH will not know what is going on. So many great ideas :) M.
