    1. Thanks Chrissy! that's kinda funny that you'd say that! cuz in talking with a gal about a certain magazine 'discontinuing'-I mentioned that I didn't think I had a chance anymore-I didnt think my home would fit 'in' anywhere else-she mentioned JDL but I laughed and said it wouldn't fit there at all! hmm? guess I better get a copy of that book from Kim! I've only looked on line :/

  3. Wow, your home is gorgeous! I found you via a friend's pin on Pinterest. I can't wait to see more of your farmhouse style! I have a feeling I can learn a lot from you. Is your house old or new? Mine is new, and it's so hard to infuse farmhouse into it!

    1. Hello there! Welcome! thanks very much and OMG! are you serious? one of my pics is on pinterest!? YAY! which pic? who posted? can I follow? that is quite an honor! lol our home is 'older' we havent checked exactly when it was built-we had it moved here and changed quite a bit of it-I understand what you are saying but I don't think it's as hard as you think to add some farmhouse charm-exploring pinterest is GREAT for ideas! I had to FORCE myself off of it earlier! hope you enjoy! Mel

    2. It was this pin: http://pinterest.com/pin/44754590018084512/ Heather (original pinner) lives in Ontario too! You should post the story of your house! How and why you moved it, what you liked about it, what you changed, etc ;-)

  4. Melanie, I am in love with your house and your kitchen:-) The colors and the contrast of old and new are simply stunning. Love your dining table, all the accessories, etc. I could just look at your rooms over and over.
